What can I expect?
During your first appointment, we take the time to get to know you and understand your individual needs. We begin with a thorough review of your medical and dental history, current oral care routine, and any concerns you or your family may have. A comprehensive oral assessment allows us to establish a baseline of your oral health and develop an individualized oral care plan.
In most cases, preventive dental hygiene treatment can begin during the same visit. Our care is provided in the comfort of your own surroundings, either chairside or bedside, depending on your mobility, health needs, and personal comfort.
We understand that dental care can feel overwhelming, particularly for individuals living with dementia, cognitive changes, or complex health needs. We adapt our approach, pace, and treatment to each person and prioritize comfort, dignity, and trust throughout the appointment. Family members and caregivers are always welcome to be present when their involvement provides additional comfort or support.
Strictly Prevention is a fee-for-service practice. We assist with insurance claims and reimbursement whenever possible and are happy to help families understand their dental benefits and coverage.
